Mjølner is the hammer of the Thunder God Thor in Norse mythology.

In Viking times , small pendants were shaped like Mjølner worn by both women and men. To practitioners of the Norse religion , these pendants were protectors and amulets. As Christianity became more widespread in the Norse areas, the torshammer also became a mark of the wearer's faith and identity.
